Ronda

It is true that they will not escape from the summer heat there, and they will even be exposed to an even more harsh climate of the interior. Nevertheless, Ronda is worth seeing, if only because of its unique picturesqueness and interesting monuments. This small town is one of the oldest in all of Spain. Directly in it and its surroundings, you can find traces of many civilizations: from prehistoric, through ancient and medieval (Moors), to monuments related to the contemporary Christian culture of the country. In the area of ​​today’s agglomeration, we come across a number of viewpoints (e.g. el balcón del coño), monumental buildings and interesting museums. Ernest Hemingway described his impressions after visiting Rondo as follows: “The whole city as far as the eye can see is nothing more than a romantic theatrical backdrop.” Remember to get comfortable shoes before visiting this place, because a visit to this “theater” is a walk that requires steep paths and many stairs. Its location on both sides of the rocky ravine that intersects the city provides the city with its unique picturesqueness.
